The City

Ghaziabad is an important industrial city located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is 19 Km away from East of Delhi and 46 Km from South West of Meerut. The city also serves as the headquarters of the Ghaziabad district. It is a large industrial city having excellent roads and railways network.

Ghaziabad has industries that are mainly into the production of railway coaches, diesel engines, bicycles, tapestries, glassware, pottery, paint and varnish, heavy chains etc. Currently, with the real estate boom, mall culture has arrived into the city. This has brought development of a multitude of swanky malls here and the roads are being improved by construction and widening of flyovers.

Infrastructure

However, infrastructure development is making its best to catch the pace with the frenetic residential and commercial development. Located in the National Capital Region (NCR), Ghaziabad enjoys excellent access to infrastructure facilities. Manufacturing firms requiring fast transportation links have found the place highly helpful to them. This is one of the leading reasons for an increase in industrial establishments here. They have come to rely on better transportation network of highways, railways and lower-cost distribution channels to cater to those in-time deliveries.

Ghaziabad can easily be reached by air, road and rail. Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi is about 45 Km from here. Ghaziabad is well-connected to major places like Delhi, NOIDA, Hapur, Meerut, Saharanpur, Haridwar, etc by road.

There is fast Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus service from Advanced Level Telecom Training Centre (ALTTC), Ghaziabad to ITO, Delhi after about every fifteen minutes. Ghaziabad also enjoys well-connectivity to all parts of the country through Railway line. The Main railway station is situated in the middle of the city.
