delegation is expected to visit Bangalore soon to explore possibilities
of investments in state, said Dy M Yediyurappa.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme at JNNCE, he said that
during his visit to World Kannada Meet organised by Association
of Kannada Kootas in America (AKKA), NRIs and Non Resident Kannadigas
expressed their interest to invest in industries and other projects
in State.
In view of this, a delegation will visit and hold discussions
with government on the issue, he said.
Informing about New Industrial Policy announced recently, he
said that all facilities will be provided to entrepreneurs in
establishing and developing industries in state.
The policy makes way for good job opportunities. By 2010, more
than 10 lakh IT, BT and other jobs in all sectors will be created,
he said. Facilities should be provided to attract investors.
For which, government has chalked out various projects and programme
to develop all cities in State.
In order to attract investors into Shimoga, Rs 25 crore is reserved
to construct good roads and process of airport is speeded up.
Government has also plans to introduce fast train between Shimoga
and Bangalore, he said.
Earlier, talking to reporters, he said that a delegation of industrialists
will visit Shimoga on October 28. They will study the possibilities
of venture in the district, he said.
