Indian American students are showing their mettle once again. Five of them are at the core of a team of eight to represent the United States at the Junior 8 summit at the seaside resort of Heiligendamm in Germany. Slated to be held in June this year, the J8 is the youth forum of the G8 summit.
The five students Kavitha Narra, Rohit Nalamasu, Kritika Kailash,
Aarthi Minisandram and Sudha Gollapudi, are part of an 8 member
team from the Harker School, San Jose, California called the
Aquilones.
A rigorous selection process conducted jointly by
UNICEF and Morgan Stanley sifted through 63 teams to select the
final one.
As part of the selection process, each team is required to
give its own ideas on the key issues being deliberated on by
the G8 leaders. Entries are submitted online and judged by a
special panel in each country
