The Overseas Employment Agencies may issue an order to eliminate
unauthorized and unscrupulous private placement agencies.
The agency was established to bring a common platform for employers
abroad and Goan youths who have shown large interests in jobs
overseas, says Goa Commissioner for NRI Affairs Eduardo Faleiro,
who was the chief guest at the valedictory function of the first
batch of orientation-cum-training programme for professionals
in different streams.
Organized by OEA, Goa along with the State Directorate of Craftsmen
Training, the programme was meant for nourishing the skills to
cater to the demanding requirements of the countries as per the
guidelines given in the scheme evolved by the Ministry of Overseas
Indian Affairs, New Delhi.
The commissioner had also written to the Indian Ambassadors
of the countries where there is a high demand for Indian manpower
to present the Overseas Employment Agency to both the government
and potential employers.
