Kolkata based Bengal Shrachi Housing Development in a joint venture with two NRIs has announced the launch of a housing complex, Rosedale Garden, specially designed for non-resident Indians (NRIs). The Rs 800 crore Shrachi Group of Companies has a significantly long experience of a decade in construction of prime residential and commercial projects like the Shrachi Gardens, Shrachi Abasan, Shrachi Niket and others.

Tapping the desire for fully furnished ready-to-move in apartments for NRIs, the joint venture has invested Rs 300 crore in this mega project.

NRIs Santosh Mukherjee and S K Sarkar have incorporated unique features which would appeal to the aesthetics and specific needs of the occupants, whether they are NRIs or their parents living in India. The project is spread over 16 acres in Rajarhat in Kolkata.

Rajarhat, also known as New Town, is home to several upcoming residential and commercial projects. Designed by an international architect, this NRI housing project is quite ambitious and modern.

Complete with luxuries like swimming pool and sports facilities, the project would also include a travel center, medical assistance on demand and eating joint. Keeping in view the privacy usually sought by NRIs, the joint venture has consciously avoided developing big commercial outlets within the complex.

However, its six towers shall have all basic facilities for its residents. The project has been enthusiastically received by NRIs for whom around 75 per cent of the total housing units have been reserved. 334 of a total of 504 units have been sold out already and the rest are expected to be booked soon.

Specially built low-rise towers to benefit the elderly have made the project even more acceptable to the end users who want to live with their parents. Shrachi’s Rosedale Garden project will further add to the real estate prospects in Rajarhat.
