A seminar shedding a considerable light on significant topics like NRI investments, investments by NRIs and foreign players etc. had recently been organized by the Northern India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Organized at Hotel Friends Regency, the seminar was graced
by the presence of Arun Gupta, chairman of the Ludhiana branch
of the institute, Rajkumar Adhukia from Mumbai and Vinod Jain
from New Delhi (faculty persons of the central council of The
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India).
Mr. Adhukia, deliberated the topic ‘tips to make NRIs clients’. He also shared his understanding on the regulatory framework for investment in India taking NRIs into prime consideration.
Daljit Singh, DGM Reserve Bank, took up the discussions on NRI accounts, and the procedures related to the NRI/FFCNRB deposits.
The second session was taken up by Vinod Jain, who spoke on
the topics related to foreign investments and the growing interest
of global real estate companies in India.
The seminar was attended
by around 250 chartered accountants from different cities including
Mandi, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Gobindgarh, Khanna, and adjoining
areas.
