Foreign Institutional Investors today offloaded equities worth Rs 241.85
crore amid the Sensex closing lower by over 60 points. FIIs invested
in shares worth Rs 1,299.92 crore and offloaded equities valued Rs 1,541.77
crore, resulting in the net sale of Rs 241.85 crore, as per provisional
data available on the BSE. As per information available on the Sebi
website, FIIs sold shares worth Rs 257 crore on Friday. On the other
hand, domestic institutional investors invested in scrips valued Rs
82.62 crore.
Among other categories, brokers invested in the shares worth Rs 65.16
crore on behalf of their clients and retail investors, while proprietors
bought scrip valued at Rs 6.46 crore. Further, non-resident Indian entities
offloaded shares worth Rs 0.54 crore. The benchmark index settled down
66.02 points to close at.
