A NRI doctor has revealed his plans to establish a Rs.550 million
($12 million) homeopathy hospital, college and research centre in Madhya
Pradesh. Rabi Roy, the Germany based met Chief Minister Babulal Gaur
to discuss his plans.
Speaking further he said that he has selected land for the proposed
project. He also added that he had plans to set up the hospital in the
US but his love for India forced him to change his plans.
Roy, who is in India to help tsunami victims, said: "The government
should make the affected fishermen financially independent by giving
them fishing nets."
He protested against a plan to transfer the fishermen to safer places
away from the coastline, saying: "The victims would like to be
closer to their place of business."
Instead of taking up speedy rehabilitation work for the victims, government
agencies were busy conducting time-consuming surveys, he added.
