Mahesh Nihalani, a leading NRI businessman has won an award for 'Citizen of the Year' by Chamber of Commerce in the Cupertino City in California.

He has been commended for the impact he made in the local community in the past seven years.

Nihalani has been chosen ion the basis of his teamwork and accomplishment of the goals set.

Nestled against the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains at the west end of world famous Silicon Valley, the city of Cupertino caters to a populace of about 50,000 out of which 50% are Asian Americans.

Nihalani is also serving as an Executive committee member of the Asian American Business Council.

His organized events especially the Diwali celebrations is looked upon as the most successful community engagement in the area and witness an increase in attendance each year.

Nihalani also works as an advisor to the Organisation of Special needs Families (OSF) and the California Cricket Academy (CCA).
